March 17, 2023

Homes England has now submitted the first reserved matters application for the Attleborough Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE), which is for the delivery of the first phase of infrastructure on Homes England’s land required to enable the delivery of homes.

The application is for a roundabout, a road and drainage infrastructure The submitted plans provide the detail regarding the access off Buckenham Road leading south through the new local centre and connecting to the proposed new link road.

Jayshree Patel, Head of Planning & Enabling at Homes England, said: “The submission of this first reserved matters application is a key milestone in the process that seeks to build on the vision for the entire Sustainable Urban Extension.

“We have submitted this reserved matters application for the new roundabout, road linking Buckenham Road to the new link road and drainage before any application for new homes or other development, to demonstrate our commitment to the early provision of infrastructure.

“By enabling the construction of this infrastructure, we hope to make it easier for future development partners to build the local centre and a comprehensive mix of homes on Phase 1”.

The application has been validated and can be found via the Council’s planning portal using reference 3PL/2023/0278/D.
